Deepika is a Systemic Family Constellations Facilitator, Family & Somatic Therapist of Sindhi origin who has been a resident of both Singapore and Indonesia. She has also had spent some time in Australia and Malaysia in her life as a student and practitioner. She currently makes her home in Bali, Indonesia and travels to teach and facilitate workshops alongside running her private practice. She continues the gift of the early migrant path life that allows us her to travel, learn from and embody the gifts of various lineages with respect to them. She also works in a way that deeply honours the body wisdom, having lived through the pain of fibromyalgia for many years.
She is the third generation in her family lineage who has lived in South East Asia after her grandparents had experienced the difficult migration post the India-Pakistan partition. They found their courage and resilience to build a family life in Singapore & Indonesia respectively, where they found their place to root.
This generational event alongside the traumatic injuries that compounded becomes relevant in Deepika's immersion in healing work. Through this process it became evident that the fragmentations of identity she experienced and the transmission of generational cycles of pain, when reconciled has become a source of love, success and power in her life.
The process of deep learning and healing began very early in her life at the age of 21. She had begun experiencing deep restlessness and pressing existential questions about life's meaning and purpose and a search of truth began.
At the age of 24, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia that surprised her as well as brought in a great deal of disappointment and confusion towards life, her body and on how life is to be lived with the existence of consistent pain. At this time, she had developed joy and connection to her body and movement through Egyptian and Oriental bellydancing and yoga. In the middle of her deep recovery from pain, these two art form allowed her the space to experience a new found love and appreciation for the wisdom and intuitive joy that rests deep in our body.
In her 30s, after a completing her Master's Degree, moving in the depth of learning Trans-Generational Family Systems Therapy, making a personal conscious decision to not follow through any committed marriage as per expectations of cultural norm for her at the time and experiencing a relapse of fibromyalgia symptoms in a painful way, Deepika felt like she was in a place of a new uncertainty. Uncertain of what her path might be, she responded to a deep intuitive push to seek the truths of what was happening in her body, mind, soul & spirit.
With the guidance of many teachers in her lifetime in the academic field and in the spiritual, healing arts and energy healing work, Deepika is on her path of teaching, facilitating guiding deep processes and journey of healing.
Her gathered wisdom from the richness of her ancestral origin in Sindh and the meandering path of her family lineage that followed is rooted as:
